VoltaGrid Closes $775M Primary and $800M Secondary Equity Rounds
VoltaGrid has finalized a combined $1.575 billion equity raise backed by Blackstone and Halliburton, with the secondary tranche nearly quadrupling its original size.
VoltaGrid announced Monday the closing of equity investments first disclosed in May 2026, bringing total proceeds to roughly $1.575 billion across two separate tranches.
The primary investment of $775 million was funded by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and Halliburton Company, pairing a major alternative asset manager with one of the world's largest oilfield services firms in a bet on the Houston-based energy company.

The secondary component drew notably stronger demand than initially anticipated. Originally sized at $225 million, the secondary equity offering was upsized to $800 million — more than three times its original target — and drew participation from a broad pool of institutional and other investors, signaling robust appetite for the company's equity among existing stakeholders.
The closing marks the completion of a fundraising process that spans nearly five months, from the May 2026 announcement to the October finalization. The scale of the upsized secondary round suggests existing investors moved aggressively to increase their positions ahead of closing.
